This program is an evidence-based treatment program developed to reduce disability associated with pain, depression, cancer and other chronic health conditions.

Every year, thousands of individuals become disabled due to an injury or significant illness.  As a result, these individuals are removed from their involvement in many important life activities.  These activities may be abandoned due to functional and physical limitations or perhaps due to psychosocial factors or barriers.

PGAP is designed to reduce the psychosocial barriers to rehabilitation progress, promote involvement in life- role activities, assist in return to work and thus improve quality of life.  PGAP, therefore involves structured activity scheduling, progressive activity involvement, goal setting, problem solving tools, and motivational techniques as a way of treating the psychosocial factors involved in an individuals disability.
